  1. Here is my 5 greatest achivements by the ancient egyptians:

    - The ancient Egyptians were much more advanced than other civilizations in their era. One of their amazing achievements was inventing the calendar. They invented the calendar so they could know at what time of the year the Nile River would flood.

    - Pyramids are a big part in the Egyptian culture. When the making of pyramids first began, the Egyptians had to become more advanced in mathematics, engineering and astronomy. The pyramids were used as tombs for the pharaohs and other important people. They held many artefacts such as statues, jewels and furniture that was important to the deceased. You know that it took 100,000 people to build one pyramid in over 20 years?

    - After the Egyptians stopped building pyramids they started building temples for religious purposes. Some of the greatest temples ever built were the temples of Karnak. The temples of Karnak were once beautiful but now some of them have crumbled over the years.

    - Another great achievement that the Egyptians made was inventing the Nileometer. Nileometers were very important to the Egyptians. A Nileometer measured the rising water levels of the Nile River so the Egyptians could predict a possible flood that would endanger lives or crops.

    - One of the most important discoveries the Egyptians made was learning how to make things out of papyrus. Papyrus is a plant that grows in the Nile River. The most important use for papyrus was to make scrolls, which was the first paper.

  2. One of the major achievements of the Egyptians was writing. Letter of the ancient Egyptians were hieroglyphics - incomprehensible signs outside their own country, but for the majority of its population. The art of writing was a mysterious, exclusive tools, the knowledge could boast only a few of the inhabitants of Egypt.
It is not entirely clear how it came to the creation of this letter. Researchers formulate about many theories. According to some hieroglyphs are a local product of the Egyptian population. While others believe that the art of writing Egyptians took over from the Sumerians.
According to the same ancient Egyptians used their writing system came from the gods. They believed that the letter invented god Thoth - the god of knowledge and wisdom.
The initial rule of the Egyptian writings consisted of the presentation using concrete objects - concepts, words or parts of words. / Show pictures /
The breakthrough role in Egyptian writing were the characters of the single consonants. With them recorded sound 24 consonants, but there were also graphic variants of some of these characters. Egyptologists have called this group of hieroglyphs "Egyptian alphabet". / bookmark with the alphabet written on Egyptian papyrus modeled material /
Egyptian writers carry out their work due to their preserved sculptures and painted images of writers, sitting "cross-legged". They used wooden discus, resembling modern cupboards. A paddle was such a special recess on the ink, black and red, sometimes also in other colors. In the middle of the paddle, in a special groove that frequented lockable sliding lid, keep brushes with which they wrote. In III. BC began writing introduced by the Greeks feathers.

  3. I think one of the greatest achievements of the ancient Egyptians is the pyramids because they are one of the seven wonders of the world that still exists today and they still contain mummies, statues, hieroglyphics and treasure. The pyramids were built by slaves and farmers. They put a giant hole surrounding were they want to build the pyramids because they don't want cross another persons land. The base of a pyramid was always a perfect square.the pyramids were mainly made out of lime stone.there were traps and curses put on the tombs and pyramids to try and keep robbers out. Pyramids were the burial of the Pharaohs. The pyramids were high so the Pharaohs could fly up into the heaven or get eaten by the creature.

  4. Their best achievement was the peace treaty, pyramids and pottery. I think a peace treaty was very good because there was a really big war that ended people died but then it was stopped by the same person that started the war. I think Egypt’s pottery is really outstanding because the Egyptians made the pottery a long time ago and it was very artistic because there were a lot of Hyroglifics. Egypt had very tall sky scraping pyramids and there was a lot of them in Egypt.

  5. I think Tutankhamen should be because he is a lot popular than the other pharaoh and King he was well known than others . Ramses the great could of if he didn't tell fibs like saying they won when they had a tie because or steal other pharaohs statue he could of made his own statue and that is a bit lazy.

  6. One of their greatest achievements were inventing a calendar. They invented it so that they would know what at what time of the year the river Nile would flood. It is a massive circle that has numbers all over the place. It is nothing compared to our one now.Our one is in columns for each month and there's have numbers all over the circle calendar. It wash't easy to make and took time to invent. They had to track the moon and the stars to do it.They had to use astronomy's to invent this amazing and complicated calendar.Every year on the same day the river Nile floods, when Sirius rose before the sun on the morning of the summer solstice. This event was marked as day1 of their calendar year. They used the calendar to mark 5 feast days at the end of each month of the year.

  7. The ancient Egyptians are clever people. They invented many things to make there life more comfortable.
CALENDER: The ancient Egyptians created a calendar based on the farming season .
There were three seasons – the flooding season- planting season – harvesting
Season. Each was three months long . that added up to 360 days . they
Noticed that they need more days so they did . they added five more days the holy days
To say thank you to god . So that means they invented a 365 day calendar!

  9. I think the most amazing ancient Egyptians achievement is the shadow clock because even though they didn’t have technology or science they discovered how to tell the time. AMAZING!
The ancient Egyptians had made their own shadow clock which was used around 3500 BCE. Shadow clocks are massive stone pillars called obelisks and they had stories written in hieroglyphics all over them. An obelisks is a pillar with a tiny rod on top. Time was determined by the size and position of the shadow cast by the sun.
Later on, the Egyptians invented a smaller version of the shadow clock which was lighter and was little above a foot long. They may have made the world’s first portable clock. The observer could read time from the shadow cast by the crosspiece across five measured marking on the bar. After, noon he/she would face west and read the time from the shadow cast in the opposite direction.

    1. I also agree with you as technology had not even been invented at that time. I also think that one of the Egyptian achievements is that they got their top of the pyramids to be exactly on point with a lot of hardworking.
