Roman Amphitheatres are large, circular or oval open air venues. This is where roman gladiators and wild animals fight each other. The bloodier the battle the more crowd . The fighters where slaves or criminals whose punishment was the most gruesome death.
ReplyDeleteWow how gory💉🔪😡
DeleteThe Roman amphitheatre could seat up to 50,000 people at once. The amphitheatre was a place of entertainment. It was a place were people would watch Gladiators fight to the death or Gladiators fight animals. The more the blood in the battle the louder the audience cheer. The Gladiators were slaves or criminals who were punished to the most gruesome deaths. These fights were so popular that schools were set to train ordinary men as special Gladiators. The biggest Roman amphitheatre is the Colosseum.
ReplyDeleteThe Roman amphitheatre was lost for centuries until the walls were found underground in 1988.In the amphitheatre the romans had battles to the death. It would have been quite hard to get a space in the amphitheatre because they didn't have lots of spaces.
ReplyDeleteromans go there for entertainment.
ReplyDeleteThe Colosseum
ReplyDelete The Colosseum took 10 years to build. It was ordered by the Emperor Vespasian in 70 AD and it was complete when Titus was ruling the country in 80 AD.
Colosseum is a huge auditorium amphitheatre in Rome and Italy.
The word amphitheatre came from Greece is 'amphi' and 'theatron'.
Amphi = open from both sides.
Theatron = public place of viewing.
The Colosseum is about 620 feet long, 158 feet tall and it is 512 feet wide.
It is an egg-shaped building.
It covers a vast expanse of 6 acres.
They used more than 1.1 million tonnes of concrete, stone and bricks.
Nice work Sri I love it.It has lots of description and a off information.
DeleteThe Roman Amphitheaters were important to Roman life because they had battles with the each other and that is how they know who is stronger and people usually watch it
ReplyDelete- Amphitheaters were the center of entertainment in Roman times. It was used for Roman people to watch gladitor fights with each other or wild animals, such as lions or bears.
ReplyDelete- Most Amphiteaters were made out of concrete, marble and limestone.
- The first stone Amphitheater was built in 70AD and was called the Colosseum.
- Today some Amphitheaters are used for Spanish and Mexican bull fights.
I think that the Amphitheaters were important to the Romans to entertain them with such things as Gladitor fights, Chariot Races and it allowed local people to enter the fights as well for their five minutes of fame.
Roman building achievements
I think concrete and aqueducts and finally roads are the things I thing are the roman achievements.
1. Concrete and roads
Concrete is an important material for creating roads in a smooth condition, instead of very bumpy and uncomfortable ride road.
2. Aqueducts
Aqueducts were to transport water from one place to another. This helped getting clean water to everyone, making the quantity of people drinking dirty water less.
Today we have improved romans ideas making them better and more helpful.
An amphitheater is a Roman battleground!🔪
ReplyDeletethe romans used to fight with sharp and dangerous weapons.
