Why Emperor Hadrian is better than Emperor Augustus
Emperor Hadrian was generous and kind to his people. Considered as the third best emperor and Augustus isn’t even on the list Hadrian was very sympathetic to people. Hadrian was more sane than Augustus because he did marry his mother like Augustus did,
I believe that Emperor Hadrian was a better ruler than Emperor Augustus for the following reasons: Firstly, Hadrian is regarded as one of the Five Good Emperors; a group consisting of: Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius. The Five Good Emperors were called so due to their respect for the power of the Senate, respect from their works and care for their people. Also, Hadrian ordered the construction of Hadrian's Wall, which stretched across the border of England, reaching 117 kilometres in total. There are many theories as to why it was constructed, although the reason has not yet been determined. Moreover, he was educated and cultured. During his reign, he constantly travelled around his empire to make sure he knew what was happening.
I think that Emperor Hadrian is a better Emperor than Augustus and here are some examples:
1. First of all Emperor Hadrian constructed the temple of Venus (the goddess of love) it is said that it was one of the biggest temples in ancient Rome. He rebuilt the Pantheon a Roman church for the Roman pagan gods it was the first temple to all the Roman gods. 2. Hadrian also expanded the Roman Empire by constructing Hadrian's wall in England, because the Romans were fighting the Celts and he wanted to keep them out so that the Romans could settle in England. 3. He cared for his people and kept the army well trained and supplied so that they were ready for battle. Also Hadrian gave large sums money to communities and individuals.

I believe that Emperor Hadrian than Emperor Augustus for the following reasons: First, Emperor Hadrian built the Hadrian's wall and Augustus didn't. Second, Emperor Hadrian built a temple called a Pantheon for Venus and Roma. Finally, Hadrian was Roman emperor from 117 to 13.
In my opinion Hadrian was a better ruler than Augustus. Here are the reasons why:
*Hadrian built a wall call 'Hadrian's Wall' this helped the Romans during battle *He extended the Roman Empire. *Hadrian was well educated unlike Augustus *Hadrian is considered the 3rd best Emperor where as Augustus isn't even on the list.
Emperor Augustus vs Emperor Hadrian Hadrian 1. He built Hadrian's Wall 2. He cared for his people 3. He extended the Roman Empire Augustus 1. He was the founder of the Roman Empire 2. He was Rome's first Emperor 3. He didn't care for his people (unlike Hadrian) WINNER = HADRIAN!!!
Caesar Augustus 1)he was one of the first emperor of the Roman Empire after Julius Caesar. 2)The country was peaceful under Augustus's rule. 3)As of 2012, Australia has an estimated population of over 22 million people.
I my opinion Hadrian was a better emperor because he was well educated however Augustus wasn't .Also he extended the roman empire an build a wall called the Hadrian's wall and it helped the Roman's in battles. Finally he was the 3rd best Roman emperor .
To my knowledge,I consider Hadrian as a great emperor. This is because: -> Hadrian built the Hadrian's wall. -> He reconstructed the pantheon. -> Hadrian constructed the temple of Venus and Roma. -> He is regarded as one of the good emperors. -> Hadrian suppressed the Bar Kokba revolt in June.
In my opinion, I think Emperor Hadrian was a much better emperor than Augustus despite Augustus being the founder and its first emperor. Hadrian brought many advances to Rome and Roman technology. He, along with Emperors Nerva, Trajan, Antoninus Pius, Marcus Aurelius are regarded as the Five Good Emperors of Rome.
His building projects are his most enduring legacy. He built the Temple of Venus and Roma, and rebuilt the Pantheon - which still exists in modern-day Rome - after it was destroyed by fire in 80 B.C. However, he did not inscribe his name in it and retained Agrippa’s original inscription.
Of all his significant monuments and buildings, the most prominent is the Hadrian’s wall (the 73-mile-long structure cutting across Northern Britain from Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway) which marked the north-west frontier of the Roman Empire. The beginning of the construction project corresponded to Hadrian’s visit to the province, and took six years by his stationed legions to complete. This was meant to keep out the enemy tribe Picts, and was as also used to regulate the movements of people coming into or leaving Roman Britain.
He visited the Greeks a lot of times and drew inspiration from them for the Roman buildings and architecture. He also built many libraries, aqueducts, baths and theatres.
He was a well-educated man as well as a brilliant administrator who concerned himself with all aspects of government and the administration of justice. His devotion to the army was such that he would sleep and eat among the soldiers, and his regime was marked by relative peace.
In conclusion, I strongly feel that Hadrian was a better Emperor than Augustus, for the reasons above and many, many more.
I think Emperor Hadrian and here are my reasons: - He is best remembered for the great wall he built along the northern borders of conquered Britain(Hadrian od wall) - He was also a good writer. - In his later years he became a little introvert especially after the death of his young friend Antinous whom he deified and in whose honour he named a new city and built a temple. - Hadrian suppressed the Bar Kokba revolt in June. - He reconstructed the pantheon.
• He was the founder of the Roman Empire • He brought peace • Revolutionized Rome • He attended to everything with dignity, firmness, and generosity, hoping that would make a good ruler • He was kind to his subjects • He was quite ruthless, and led one of the most fierce tribes into battle • Very balanced, made him a good ruler Emperor Hadrian • A Very Warlike emperor • Had good war strategies • Was a fair ruler • He was quite religious • He built a temple for the roman gods and goddesses • He built a wall that kept the Romans safe • He reconstructed the pantheon Overall, I feel both emperors are good but in my opinion, Augustus was better.

I personally think that Emperor Hadrian was the better Emperor. These are the reasons why:
ReplyDelete1.He had a fantastic war plan, although he was not really into war.
2.He built "Hadrians Wall", that caused war to be easier for the romans.
3. He cared about all his people and citizens unlike some other emperors.
