Cerberus (Greek mythology) is best known as the guardian to the gates of Hades (the Underworld).
In Greek mythology Cerberus is depicted as a dog with three ferocious heads and the tail of a snake. He is one of the great Greek monsters born unto Typhon and Echidna.
His sole task is essentially be the "bouncer" of Hades. As the rules go, only the dead may enter the Underworld, and none may leave.
There are only a couple of myths in Greek mythology where a hero gets the better of Cerberus. The first is when Orpheus (Greek mythology), the famed musician, sneaks into Hades by lulling the usually unstoppable Cerberus to sleep with his beautiful music.
The second myth is when Hercules (Greek mythology), with the approval of Hades (Greek mythology), the god of the Underworld, gets Cerberus in a choke hold, knocks him out, and kidnaps him. He is eventually returned to his post where he remains to this day. Cerberus, Guardian of Hades Other than these myths, the three-headed hound of Hell is an unmatched force for anyone trying to get in or out of Hades without express permission
In ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology, the phoenix is a mythical bird and associated with the Egyptian sun-god Re and the Greek Phobias (Apollo). According to the Greeks the bird lives in Arabia, nearby a cool well. Each morning at dawn, it would bathe in the water and sing such a beautiful song, that the sun-god stops his chariot to listen. There exists only one phoenix at the time. When it felt its death approaching (every 500 or 1461 years), it would build a nest of aromatic wood and set it on fire, and was consumed by the flames. When it was burned, a new phoenix sprang forth from the pyre. It then embalmed the ashes of its predecessor in an egg of myrrh and flew with it to Heliopolis ("city of the sun"). There it would deposit the egg on the altar of the sun god.
The creation of a national currency was one of the most pressing issues for the new-born Greek state, so that the monetary chaos reigning in the country could subside. Prior to the phoenix's introduction, transactions were settled with a wide variety of coins, including the korus; coins from major European states, such as France, Britain, Russia and Austria were also popular.

For my two ancient Greek characters I have picked Zeus and Medusa
- Zeus was king of all the Greek gods, he lived on mount Olympus he was the god of sky and thunder. His symbols include the lightning bolt, the eagle, the bull and the oak tree.
- Zeus was married to Hera (his sister).
- Zeus was the most powerful god and had a number of powers. His most famous power is the ability to throw lightning bolts. His winged horse Pegasus carried his lightning bolts and he trained an eagle to retrieve them. Zeus could also control the weather causing rain and huge storms.
Medusa
- •Medusa was a monster in Greek mythology, known as a Gorgon. She had the face of a hideous (disgusting) woman, but had poisonous snakes on her head, instead of hair.
- •She was the daughter of Phorcys, a God of the sea, and Ceto, a female sea God. Phorcys is said to have had claws for legs and skin covered with red spikes.
- •Medusa was originally a beautiful woman with long golden hair. She was punished by the Gods for falling in love with Poseidon.
- Medusa spent some time wandering in Africa. According to legend, some baby snakes fell from her head, which is why there are so many snakes in Africa.
- Anyone looking directly at Medusa would be instantly turned to stone. She was killed by Perseus who saw her reflection in a mirror, to avoid looking at her.
- Medusa was killed when Perseus cut her head off. From her neck emerged a winged horse, Pegasus, which has become one of the most well known mythological creatures.
King of the underworld and the dead, and god of regret. His consort is Persephone. His attributes are the drinking horn or cornucopia, key, sceptre, and the three-headed dog Cerberus. The screech owl was sacred to him. He was one of three sons of Cronus and Rhea, and thus sovereign over one of the three realms of the universe, the underworld. As a chthonic god, however, his place among the Olympians is ambiguous. In the mystery religions and Athenian literature, Pluto (Plouton, "the Rich") was his preferred name, with Hades more common for the underworld as a place. The Romans translated Plouton as Dis Pater ("the Rich Father") or Pluto.
Typhon - Myth Beast Serpents represented the earth, and quite possibly all these half-snake creatures are metaphors for man's battle to dominate the earth.] But back to Typhon: he was the half-man, half snake son of Gaia and Tartarus. He was summoned by Gaia [mother earth] to avenge the defeat of the Titans by the Olympians. Hesiod describes him with a hundred heads, and the gods, upon seeing the monster, fled; only Zeus stood his ground. Typhon cut the sinews from Zeus's hands and feet and threw him into a cave. Hermes and Pan revived the king of gods and mended his wounds. The Fates had weakened Typhon with mortal food, and Zeus managed to dispose of Typhon by crushing him under Mount Etna.
I have chose Medusa and Athena as a Greek mythology. Medusa: Medusa was the Greek monster she had been turning people into a stone.Medusa head was full of snakes. This the way she turned you to a stone If you dare to look at her miserable eye her eyes will flicker in a second or so you will into a nice lit picture then it will turn you to a stone and can not be moved again. Medusa was the sister of gorgon and the daughter of Phorksy and Keto The children of Gaea. She had the face of an ugly woman with snakes instead of hair; anyone who looked into her eyes was immediately turned to stone. Her sisters were Sthenno and Euryale, but Medusa was the only mortal of the three. Athena Athena literally only had one parent, her father Zeus, from whose head she was born. Zeus suffered a terrible headache when Hephaistos hit him over the head with a sledgehammer and opened his scull. Out came the full-grown Athena in full armour with a cry of war.She was usually called Pallas Athena or Parthenos, virgin, being a virgin goddess. Greece's capital Athens and the temple Parthenon were both dedicated to and named after her. Interestingly, when Greece became Christian the Parthenon was in stead converted into the church of another Virgin: Mary, mother of Jesus. The most important celebration of Athens was the Panathenea, dedicated to the goddess and held every four years. According to myth, Athena had earned the title of patron goddess of Athens after a competition
GOTTHOM: GOTTHOMS are humongous creatures . They live in dark caves and hate rain other wise they melt. GOTTHOMS try to keep away from rain, but when the are far away from there caves they try to escape , but sometimes the can not . GOTTHOMS are rude , cruel and nasty creatures . They usually consist of ink and cardboard, luckily they do not feast on humans . When GOTTHOMS are born , they are born covered with fur and fully grown sharp teeth . They are extremely fast and , to entertain themselves they have competitions on who can eat the most ink . Humans do need to be careful , because if they can see a GOTTHOM, GOTTHOMS know we have water in our bodies and will call there whole tribe just to kill you . GOTTHOMS are tempered easily and are a big threat to human nature . BEWARE DO NOT FALL INTO THE HANDS OF A GOTTHOM OR ELSE YOU ARE DOOMED FOR LIFE
